Rosario Casanovas was born in Barcelona but she has lived in Sant Feliu de Boada, a small village of the province of Gerona, for the past 20 years.

Many years ago, my husband and I began importing old quilts from the United States to be sold in our antiques shop "Foc i Sutja".

About fourteen years ago I took my first quilting class and I haven't stopped learning and teaching since then. One of the things I like about quilting is that you can learn a new thing everyday.This contrasts with my interest on the "Amish" and their quilts,who are not interested for the "new",but for repeating their traditions and pass them to the next generation as "there has always been".

Besides the shop and the teaching, I try to carry on with my quest as a quilt artist.
